Justine Chadly is the owner of In Harmony and has been a registered Music Together® teacher and licensed center director since 2003. From San Francisco, her background includes musical theatre, vocal performance and dance. She holds a BA in music from UC Davis with an emphasis in vocal performance and an MA in Music Education with an emphasis in early childhood and special needs from San Francisco State University. She completed the certification course from the Smithsonian Folkways in World Music Pedagogy, the Music Together certification 1 course, and has performed with early music, Hindustani, Gamelan and jazz ensembles and is a member of the National Association for Music Education. Justine has composed songs for the Music Together and Rhythm Kids international curricula including "Singing in Harmony" and "'Bout My Friends" and loves bringing people together with music.

Sarah was destined to be a performer. Born in rural Pennsylvania, hometown stories tell how she stole the group microphone for herself at a Mother's Day concert and signed up for everything musical she could! Sarah has a diverse background ranging from church choir and Broadway, to marching band and opera. She holds a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance from Georgia State University and a Master of Music from Cleveland Institute of Music with additional undergraduate studies at New England Conservatory and the Instituto Europeo in Florence, Italy. Sarah has been teaching piano and voice for over 14 years and is a registered Music Together teacher. She believes that music is a gift that enriches a life tremendously and can never be taken away.

Alex grew up in a family of singers and musicians and was surrounded by music and and music performance. Her first experiences of musical education was as a dancer at age 4, learning how to move to the music and feel the beat in her body. She pursued singing as a soprano in high school choir, community choir, and in her college choir. In high school she taught herself how to play piano, took formal lessons and then continued her career as a piano student throughout college. Alex has a B.A. in Music from Simmons College and loves all genres of music including; Gregorian chant, salsa, gospel and classical. She discovered Music Together as a teacher with a local preschool. She enjoyed the richness of the music so much she recently trained and became a registered Music Together teacher! She loves spreading the joy of music to families and communities and is a perfect fit for Footnotes Music!

Mary learned guitar at age six, began singing on stage at age ten and started writing songs at age twelve and continues to do so to this day.  While attending undergraduate and then law school, Mary performed in coffeehouses with local bands. When her son was born she moved her focus from law to education and spent years volunteering in the early childhood classes of a local Waldorf school, which emphasizes music and the arts. She ran a Waldorf-inspired outdoor camp focused on music and nature.  She is a member of Chris Eastburn’s Family Folk Chorale where three of her own songs were arranged by Eastburn and performed by the chorale.  She lives locally with her teenage son, her husband and dog Tucker. All four of them love singing and making music together!!

Venus is originally from Mexico City and discovered Music Together as a mother of two in the Spring of 2012, and since then she was "hooked." Venus has taken piano lessons, ballet, and Mexican folk dancing at different times of her life. She has a Bachelor's in Business Management and a Master's in Organizational Communication. She speaks English, Spanish and some Russian. She is excited to share her passion for music, singing and dancing with as many children and adults as possible.

Julia has been teaching and directing Music Together for more than 16 years. She has degrees from Yale, Boston University, and Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professionals, including a Masters in Music and a Masters of Science; she also holds certificates in Dalcroze Eurhythmics, Orff Schulwerk, and Music Together Teaching Mastery Level II. She recently trained in HealthRhythms protocol for theraputic drumming with its founder, Christine Stevens! In class she plays guitar, recorder, or drum; voice is her primary instrument. For fun, Julia dances Lindy Hop, Blues, Argentine Tango, Salsa, or any other social dance that presents itself. Just ask, and she'll drag you out dancing too! Her classes are the perfect blend of fun with rich learning experiences!

Marcy's involvement with Music Together began as a parent taking classes. She attended for four years with her two daughters and her family hasn't been without it since! Marcy plays violin, Celtic fiddle, guitar and many multicultural instruments and introduces these instruments throughout her classes. When not teaching music, she is a pediatric physical therapist in the Boston Public School system. Marcy is full of life, so much fun and families LOVE her classes.

Dan Foote is one of the most sought-after percussion instructors and players in the New England area. A magna cum laude graduate of Berklee College of Music, Dan is known for his excellence as a musician, whether it be on drum kit or percussion, playing jazz or popular music, or leading the percussion section for the orchestra. He has travelled the world learning music, collecting instruments and touring with bands. Dan is featured with our in-school enrichment programs, dazzling everyone with his glowing drumsticks and his amazing drumming skills. 

Tom Foote, a professional drummer, studied at Berklee College of Music, Drummer's Collective and Shepherd University. He is versed in all musical styles and has studied classical percussion (mallets, timpani, etc.), world percussion, African drumming and drum set. He has toured around the world and currently composes and records for Music Together, so you've already heard his songs! Tom studied with Malian master drummer Moussa Traore and is the founder and developer of Rhythm Kids, the newest addition to the Music Together Curriculum for ages 4-8! He is endorsed by Toca Percussion.
